CHARITY PARTNER

One Mother to Another is an award winning charity which supports whānau, primarily māmā in hospital with a sick child.  It provides 3500 care packages each year to 7 hospital wards and to one community organisation – the majority in Christchurch. Each gift includes practical items and treats to support a parent’s physical and mental wellbeing in a moment of need.  We know from both personal experience and international research that caring for a child in hospital is one of the most stressful, lonely and difficult tasks a parent can face.  We want to provide comfort, love and reassurance to let a parent know that they too are seen and acknowledged as they care for their unwell pēpi, tamaiti or tamariki.

You are able to donate to this wonderful charity when you enter the event. As well as this, we will be running a Silent Auction at the Race Village during the event, and will be doing some other fun activities that the whole family will be able to enjoy. 

We will be looking for ambassadors that will be able to help raise funds for From One Mother To Another. More information will be coming soon!
